Digital Art: Techniques and Applications

Students will receive general and intermediary digital painting lessons using Photoshop and Wacom Digital drawing tablets, including: texturing, animation, landscaping, shading and coloring techniques. Students will learn studio tricks and shortcuts in Photoshop, and they will also learn traditional basics of art that can be translated into a variety of real-world application such as: game design, architecture, the sciences, medicine, and of course, the arts – anime, and traditional painting. By the end of the week, students will become efficient in creating quality pieces of digital art, a skill they will be able to use no matter what their chosen field of study or interests.
